Pepper Siquieros took some great Circus photos that she posted on the jg2 site. She's promising there will be more added soon, so give it another look later on.
(Pepper's slide show does not display for Netscape users, sorry.)
There are some more great photos, also supplied by Pepper, and a report on the event by Mark Cosenza on his Marathon page.
Wildman DJ Louie has a number of great shots up on his Extreme Dancing site
(If anyone else has photos of the weekend up on the web, I'd love to add your link here, so drop me a line, 'K?)
An incredible time was had by a record group of over 1000 fun loving dancing folks at the 2002 jg2 Line Dance Marathon the weekend of May 30th through June 2nd. Workshops were taught by world renowned dance instructors and choreographers, showcasing the best new dances and time honored styling techniques.
This year's theme was Under the Big Top and a circus parade was held Saturday at midnight which showcased a full range of clever circus themed costumes, including a multi person red and white Big Top Tent that was created and "worn" by Louie St. George's Extreme Dancers. After the tent was set up, the entire circus parade was able to stream through it to enter the dance floor followed at the end by "Emmett Kelley", cleaning up. Thank you awards were presented during the evening to Wildman DJ Louie St. George for help in planning the Marathon and his tireless disk spinning to the break of day and to Pepper Siquieros for her design and ongoing work updating the jg2 web site.
Competitions were held through out the weekend and the performances were inspiring. Awards, along with hugs and kisses from Jean and James, were presented to each competitor, some entrants competing and winning in numerous categories.
This is a premiere line dance event that you really shouldn't miss! Make your reservations now for next year and start thinking about which Super Hero you want to be for the Saturday night Jammin' Jammie Jam!
